Sun City Camp

Sun City Camp is a luxury desert glamping camp in Wadi Rum's protected UNESCO desert — the originator of the Martian Dome, with transparent-roof bubble domes for in-bed stargazing alongside Bedouin-style and Royal tents. In southern Jordan, around an hour from Aqaba, two from Petra and four from Amman, it sits close to the main road for a shorter desert crossing, with private transfers on request or self-drive to the meeting point. Around sixty units are air-conditioned and en-suite, with heating, hot water and 24-hour electricity: roughly twenty Martian Domes (bubble pods with transparent fronts, some with transparent roofs), about thirty Bedouin-style Deluxe tents, eight Royal tents and a couple of Family tents. Dining is in a main dining dome with freshly cooked buffet meals, a Bedouin tea and coffee bar, and the nightly signature Zarb — a Bedouin feast slow-cooked in an underground sand oven. The whole stay is the experience: sleep under the stars, join jeep desert tours with local Bedouin guides, ride a camel across the dunes, scramble the sandstone, and watch sunrise break over the sand near Lawrence's House. By night the desert falls silent and the sky fills with stars seen straight from the bed; by day the red sand and towering rock formations are explored on foot, by camel and by 4x4. It is a Bedouin-run camp, not a conventional hotel, typically a single night within a wider Jordan tour, with limited privacy by design behind the domes' transparent panels.
