Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea

Kempinski Hotel Ishtar is the Dead Sea flagship — a Hanging-Gardens-of-Babylon-inspired resort on the northern shore at Sweimeh, with the longest private beach in Jordan and nine freshwater pools terraced toward the water. About forty-five to sixty minutes from Amman and Queen Alia International, it is the grandest stay on the Jordanian Dead Sea, carved in natural stone among gardens and cascades. Its 345 rooms, suites and villas all open to a sea- or garden-view balcony, rising to Royal Villas with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a full kitchen, a jacuzzi and a private infinity pool. The spa is one of the largest in the Middle East — 20 treatment rooms and 27 spa suites, six outdoor relaxation areas, hydro-facilities, a Tepidarium, a hammam, sauna and steam, with Dead Sea mud and salt treatments. Nine pools run from four infinity pools to secluded and family ones and a lazy river, and the beach gives direct float access at the lowest point on Earth. Dining spans a popular outdoor Italian, Lebanese cooking, a Babylonian-inspired cocktail bar and a whisky and cigar lounge, with alcohol served. Sunset over the Dead Sea, mineral spa rituals and day trips to Wadi Mujib, Mount Nebo and the Bethany baptism site complete a wellness-and-family icon.
