The Sofitel Fiji on Denarau Island is the accessible mainland choice — around twenty minutes by road from Nadi International on the beachfront of western Viti Levu, freshly renovated and cleverly split into two worlds. Dining spans five restaurants and two bars — an interactive buffet across six live kitchens, the award-winning adults-only Waitui Bar and Grill rated among mainland Fiji's finest, the beachside Mediterranean seafood of SOLIS, the SUKA rum bar with more than thirty infused rums, the Republik late-night bar and the Journal Lounge — and the French-Fiji Sofitel Spa has nine private bure treatment rooms, a Sofitel Salon and a So Kids Spa by the pool. With Port Denarau on the doorstep for Mamanuca and Yasawa island-hopping, it is an easy base on a room-only or bed-and-breakfast footing.
