Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa

Hilton Dead Sea is a contemporary, family-first resort on the Jordanian shore at Sweimeh, with a dramatic Siq-like gorge lift down to the beach and the area's only floating sun deck out on the water. One of the newest resorts on the shore, around an hour from Amman and about 61 kilometres from Queen Alia International, it pairs modern comfort with a livelier streak. Its 285 rooms and suites mostly face the Dead Sea, each with a private terrace or balcony, with Executive rooms and suites adding lounge access. Seven venues run from the all-day Spectrum to the contemporary Lebanese 1312, the poolside Italian Bacchus, the VUE lobby lounge, the Infinity pool bar, a Beach Bar and the seasonal Sky Bar rooftop, where a DJ plays after sunset, with alcohol served. The spa handles massage and Dead Sea mud treatments — mineral-mud bowls laid out on the beach — alongside infinity and freshwater pools, a swim-up bar, a fitness and health club and the floating sun deck. Families are well served with a kids' club, a kids' pool and a playground, while under-fives eat free and six-to-elevens at half price. The Dead Sea float at the lowest point on Earth, the gorge lift, mineral mud on the shore and day trips to the Bethany baptism site, Mount Nebo and Madaba round out a modern, sociable base on the Jordan Valley shore.
