Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa

Tierra Patagonia is a Cazu Zegers-designed lodge that emerges from the hillside on the shore of Lake Sarmiento, on the edge of Torres del Paine — a long, low form clad in weathered lenga wood, the only building on the lake. Its roughly forty rooms, including three suites and from around thirty-six square metres, all face the Paine Massif and the lake through walls of windows, the architecture built around the view and all but disappearing into the steppe. Everything is all-inclusive across three-to-five-night packages: meals, an open bar, guided excursions into the national park and transfers, plus the Uma Spa with a heated indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub framing the Towers, sauna, steam and hydromassage. Days run to guided hikes, drives and rides across one of the great wildernesses of the planet — the granite Towers, Grey Glacier, guanaco herds on the steppe and the pumas that hunt them. It sits around an hour from Puerto Natales and around four hours from Punta Arenas, and closes for the Chilean winter, so stays run roughly spring to autumn — made for couples, families and adventure travellers in Torres del Paine.
