The Singular Patagonia

The Singular Patagonia is carved from a 1915 cold-storage plant, a National Monument, on the shores of Last Hope Sound near Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine. A Leading Hotels of the World property, its fifty-seven oversized rooms and suites, from around thirty-five square metres, have six-metre floor-to-ceiling fjord windows, and the original frigorifico machinery survives as a lobby museum that tells the story of Patagonia's sheep-and-shipping era. Two award-winning restaurants and a loft bar plate French technique over Patagonian produce, and an indoor-outdoor pool dog-legs into the open air over the fjord, alongside a hydrotherapy spa with hot-stone, hammam and sauna. Board is flexible, from bed-and-breakfast and half-board to an all-inclusive Complete Experience with more than twenty guided excursions into the national park, by foot, vehicle and boat to the granite Towers, Grey Glacier and the fjords. The setting fuses industrial heritage with raw wilderness on the Senoret Channel, around a three-and-a-half-hour flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas and a two-and-a-half-hour drive — made for couples and adventure travellers exploring Torres del Paine.
