Park Hyatt Auckland

Park Hyatt Auckland opened in 2020 as the city's landmark waterfront hotel, low on the harbour edge at Lighter Basin in the Wynyard Quarter, beside the superyacht moorings and overlooking the Waitematā Harbour. Conran and Partners' design is woven with Māori craft — tukutuku panels and commissioned New Zealand artists — across 195 rooms and suites on seven storeys, around thirty to forty minutes from Auckland Airport with a footbridge into the city. Rooms start from about 47 square metres with walk-in showers and deep tubs, many with terraces or balconies, rising through harbour-view rooms to the 71-square-metre Harbour Suite, the 127-square-metre Executive Suite and the 245-square-metre Presidential Suite with a full kitchen and an internal boardroom. Four restaurants and bars lead with Onemata, the season-driven signature room cooking New Zealand seafood over an open hearth with a Chef's Table, alongside the all-day waterfront Living Room with afternoon tea, The Pantry cafe and the fireside Captain's Bar. A 25-metre infinity pool runs over Lighter Basin with a pool deck, beside a day spa with treatment rooms, a steam room and hydrotherapy and a 24-hour fitness centre. The Viaduct and Wynyard marina, the maritime precinct and the city's dining are all on the doorstep.
