Millbrook Resort

Millbrook is a 650-acre alpine golf-and-lifestyle resort near Arrowtown in the Wakatipu Basin, fifteen to twenty minutes from Queenstown and its airport, framed by The Remarkables and Coronet Peak. A large country-club resort built for families and groups, it is the broad-appeal, self-catering-capable anchor of the New Zealand set, and the host of the New Zealand Open. The accommodation runs across five tiers and more than 160 rooms — open-plan Deluxe Studios, one- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens, self-contained two-to-four-bedroom cottages, and eight premium Fairway Homes with large entertaining spaces and private terraces — catering for couples, families and groups of up to around 350. Dining spans five venues, from contemporary New Zealand cooking in the historic Millhouse to teppanyaki at Kobe Cuisine and fairway dining at the Clubhouse and Hole-In-One Cafe. An award-winning day spa, a refurbished health and fitness centre, a large indoor heated pool, a sauna and three outdoor hot pools fill the downtime. The headline is the golf — 27 holes of championship golf that host the New Zealand Open, with a covered driving range — and beyond the gate sit historic Arrowtown, Central Otago wineries and Queenstown's bungy, jet-boating, rafting and winter skiing.
