Nayara Tented Camp

Nayara Tented Camp raises around twenty-nine luxury tents on stilts above Arenal Volcano National Park, one of the only luxury tented camps in Central America and a member of Leading Hotels of the World. Each canvas tent is a full suite under the trees, with a private mineral-spring plunge pool, a freestanding soaking tub, air-conditioned interiors and a terrace facing the volcano, from around a hundred and thirty-nine square metres up through six family tents to grand tents and residences with full kitchens and oversized infinity pools. Sitting higher than its sister properties, the camp has some of the strongest Arenal views of the Nayara family, set across some sixty-two acres of reforested grounds where sloths live in a Cecropia sanctuary. Naturalist guides lead the rainforest, Ayla serves Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern-inspired plates over the volcano view, and an open-air spa adds sauna, steam and fitness. San Jose is around two and a half to three hours away, with Liberia an option if pairing a beach, on a bed-and-breakfast base — a family-friendly stay for couples and families drawn to volcano, rainforest and wildlife.
