Jumby Bay Island

Jumby Bay is a private 300-acre island a short boat ride off north-east Antigua, reached only by water and run by the Oetker Collection — an apex Antigua address. Two white-sand beaches and seven kilometres of coastline frame a hawksbill-turtle nature reserve and a collection of oceanfront suites, cottages, villas and celebrity-owned estates, many with private pools, set among gardens you cross by bicycle or buggy. There are three pools, a spa, and an RYA-accredited sailing school, and the days run to sunset cocktail cruises, cooking classes, rum tastings and turtle-watching in season. Dining moves around the island, from fresh Antiguan and Italian tables to a beach bar on the sand. Reached by a roughly six-minute private boat from Dutchman Bay, about ten minutes from the airport, it suits honeymooners, families and groups after a quiet, exclusive, car-free island, with estates available for buyouts.
