Six Senses Zighy Bay

Six Senses Zighy Bay is a paraglide-in barefoot-luxury hideaway styled as a traditional Omani fishing village, on a Musandam fjord bay between mountains and sea — the 'Norway of the Middle East'. It sits on an Oman exclave reached overland through the UAE, so it is gated by Dubai, not Muscat: around ninety minutes from Dubai with a UAE-Oman border pass, and roughly five-plus hours from the Omani capital, which means it is sold as a Dubai-gated escape, not part of a Muscat itinerary. Its 82 villas — including around 20 suites, two Private Retreats and a Private Reserve — all have private pools, sand gardens, summerhouses and a butler, from entry Pool Villas to beachfront and multi-bedroom retreats with full staff. Guests choose their arrival: by paraglider off the mountain ridge, by speedboat, or by 4x4. Dining runs from the signature mountaintop Sense on the Edge to the all-day Spice Market, the Omani Shua Shack and a wine cellar, with in-villa barbecues laid on by the butler. The flagship Six Senses Spa pairs with canyoning, via ferrata, diving and fjord dhow cruises. It is a MICHELIN Key honeymoon-and-adventure icon.
