Bellagio, Las Vegas

Bellagio is the grande-dame of the Las Vegas Strip — a vast resort fronting an eight-acre lake where the Fountains of Bellagio dance to music and light, free to all who pass. Inside, Dale Chihuly's glass-flower ceiling crowns the lobby, the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are re-themed through the year, and a Gallery of Fine Art runs rotating exhibitions. Around three thousand nine hundred rooms and suites rise across two towers, from around forty-seven square metres up to lakeview suites of around two hundred and eighty. This is spectacle, dining and entertainment at the top of its category: AAA Five Diamond tables run from Julian Serrano's lakeside Picasso to Jean-Georges Vongerichten's PRIME Steakhouse, lakeside Italian at LAGO, Wolfgang Puck's Spago and Cantonese at Jasmine, while 'O' by Cirque du Soleil plays nightly on a stage of water. A spa of around sixty-five thousand square feet, a Mediterranean pool complex and the luxury boutiques of Via Bellagio — Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier — complete a resort built for energy and scale. It is around ten minutes from Harry Reid International, made for couples, special occasions and anyone drawn to the show.
