Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara

Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara is Doha's overwater-villa island escape — a crescent island reached by a twenty-minute luxury catamaran from Al Shyoukh Terminal on the Corniche, opposite Souq Waqif, with access by ferry only. It is an alcohol-free, family-first private-island resort, around thirty minutes by road from Hamad International to the terminal and then the short sail across. Its 141 rooms, suites and villas include overwater villas — some with private pools and butler service, and family overwater villas with an overwater deck and indoor-outdoor living that sleep up to ten. Around nine dining options include the Arabic-Mediterranean Al Nahham with Doha skyline views, the contemporary Italian Riva, the Azraq breakfast buffet, a family-friendly American diner and an Indian restaurant. The Anantara island spa is billed as the region's only wellness centre in an island-resort setting, with men's and women's hammams, couples' suites, an indoor botanical garden, a sauna, steam and hot tub and Thai and Ayurvedic therapies. An adventure park brings bowling, a cinema and golf, while an 800-metre golden beach, two pools and a waterslide pair with motorised watersports, surfing and diving — a family wonderland on the water, on bed-and-breakfast or half-board.
